Vision Statement
The San Miguel Board of County Commissioners finds the strengths of its vision in the traditions of our Community and cultures. Our vision is to provide this County and our Citizens with the best possible leadership and service we can provide with the resources in our possession. Our greatest assets to accomplish this are our culture, employees, and our citizens: and their input to decisions we make to guide our County.
With these valuable tools in hand we intend to collectively work with you, and as a Commission, using our compassion and individual strengths to rise up and lead our Community in a manner that is transparent and fiscally responsible; to create our own social and economic destiny, and leave the generations to come with a legacy grounded and focused in our traditions, values and cultural diversity. This is our duty to you, the citizens of this County.
The focus of our vision stems from your stated desires. These include the safety of our citizens, the strengthening of our community from within by creating economic opportunities, the protection of all our natural resources in conjunction with development and increased reliance on alternate sources of energy, and most importantly, the continued attention to the most vulnerable of our community, and make San Miguel County a home for our community, and make San Miguel County a home for our community for generations to come.
